At WPS, coaching starts with the person — not just the programme. We don’t believe in cookie-cutter templates or generic plans. Every athlete brings their own lifestyle, goals, and challenges, and it’s our job to build coaching around you — not the other way around.

Meet the coach – josh woods
Josh’s journey started in athletics and cross country, where the gym became a tool for performance — but soon, it became a passion. Drawn to the strength and discipline of lifting, he naturally found his place in powerlifting.
With over a decade of coaching experience, Josh has worked with everyone from first-time lifters to national record holders and World Championship athletes. His coaching style is athlete-first: tailored, flexible, and built around each lifter’s lifestyle.
Josh holds a BSc in Sport & Exercise Science and is qualified in personal training and fitness instruction. What drives him is more than just performance — it’s helping people build confidence, find purpose, and grow through the sport.
